Hope it doesn't just disappear into one of the boat house never to be seen again.

The cost of fish just went up....

I didn't know James but I do know Billy the owner of the boat , an absolute disaster 3 men lost and 2 rescued. Its always a shock when a boat sinks but for something like this when no mayday could be sent ( the boat will have had 2 GMDSS radio systems onboard , a VHF and SSB system , both linked to the GPS and both only needing 1 press of a button to send an automatic distress signal ) makes it even more of a shock

RIP lads RIP

Good chance it was a container washed off a container ship , they float just beneath the surface and are a nightmare for all boats especially smaller fishing boats

Yes TLB...........Common Law would suggest the perpetrator's of the retaining of Credit Card numbers .....then to reapply a charge without the consent of the card owner is an offence  :police:

The room rate would have been enough to put me off.
You don't get much in the way of comfort for £38 !
Really decent B&B's are over twice that.
Anyone on here stay there for the show weekend?

I have stayed in both hotels and BB's in Blackpool quite a few times, mostly at this time of year.
Bear in mind most of the buildings are quite old, and sometimes bathrooms 1 or 2 to a floor. However they have always been clean and comfortable, friendly, and the cooked breakfast very good.
Low prices reflect the accommodation is often quite basic, plus huge competition vying for your custom.

Agreed, there are bargains to be found.
Swimbo won't stay anywhere that is not ensuite
and our experiences in Yorkshire, The Lakes, and the South West of England
bear out what I said.

In Fairness it was a mega special deal I got... :}

But at £ 36. I would still expect clean sheets, a tidy room clean cups and running Hot water, there is no excuse for this hotel, they have behaved disgracefully and deserve all the criticism they are getting.

It's supposed to be a family holiday resort but it's more
a hen and stag capital and most of the visitors can't even
see the rooms when they collapse into bed.
I use PI quite often and they are good value.

Crowd sourcing removes mini from tram line - stupid C#W!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-30138390

Reminds me of the time when we lifted a teacher's mini and plonked inside the school's main gate on the last day of summer term - result absolute chaos - it couldn't be manoeuvred away because we placed it so close. Just happened to Ed Milliband's old school too!

The story says that she said "I'm not from Nottingham".  So where does she come from that doesn't have double yellow lines?

Presumably the same place where it's also permissible to park halfway on the pavement while you go and have a coffee. The lovely thing about it is that she will also shortly be receiving a penalty notice from Nottingham City Council for driving up Goldsmith Street (as shown in the picture of her driving away) - it's for trams only. These notices are issued automatically using ANPR software linked to the CCTV camera halfway up the street. Ask me how I know.......... <:(
No doubt she will find another brainless excuse. My favourite was when another lady driver turned right across in front of me at a set of lights as I was driving down Talbot Street (which is about 200 yards from the tram parking incident). I had to drive onto the pavement to avoid her car and hit a low wall in the process. Her reason for turning into my path? "I'm disabled, you know - and you were coming down the hill rather quickly". Will somebody tell me what she was thinking - please?!!

Don't laugh.... >>:-( some 46 years ago I left a party with a young lady in tow only to find my Mini Van [EOU 688] plonked between two trees on the foot path with 12" clearance on both ends  <*< .......

Nobody seemed to care or was in a condition to help replace my vehicle from where it was originally parked ...... <:( ... naturally I can say no more  {-) Derek
