. I totally agree with your comments about so-called celebrities, but many of them can't handle the pressure the celeb status puts on them. I think that, in many cases, they are either too young or too immature (or both) to cope with the sudden wealth and public exposure that goes with being famous, and simply can't deal with it in a responsible manner.

She only had herself to blame, sorry but thats how it is..SHE chose to drink to access, SHE chose to do drugs and unfortunately it may have killed her. The people in Norway did not choose to get massacred

I can not say I was a Fan, I tend not to follow any particular group, If I like a song I Like it for its face value who ever it is, and I am sorry she died, I have a couple of her songs on my Ipod because when she was good she was good.

My point was mereley the levels of press coverage devoted to her at that particular time, but then that is the press for you.

tomorrow it will probably be all about the News Baron again..

There really is no need to get heated about this .And as mentioned it is in the chit chat section and from past threads I think it has almost been quite civil..

I suppose she just wanted to be like all the others, Jimmi Hendrix, Kurt Kobain, Janis Joplin, Keith Moon... the list goes on. It's been going on for years and I'm sure it will continue to do so

My condolences do however go to her family and friends... and to those killed in Norway

No one is saying "She deserved it or good riddance!" But it's just so sad that a 'young' person has given up her life when
we suspect drugs and alcohol are very much involved…. such a waste ... when it could have all been avoided.

So "Dekan" supposes that there is a majority of "Right Wingers" (in the political sense as opposed to the whining sort.....). Can'y quite see where he gets that idea from. You just have to mention the "Daily Mail" or "Daily Telegraph" on here and it becomes man the barricades time! BY.

Yep, missed him Geoff, then of course going back to the 50,s, probably the first hell raiser, Hank Williams died in the back of a car on his way to a new years eve gig 1953 he was 28. All very sad, and all probably avoidable, I,ve been a pro muso for 40 odd years, been offered loads of weird stuff on the road, tried it, did,nt like it, just lucky I guess that I said no, and that,s the operative word. Did,nt mean any disrespect to any of them, maybe just a stab at the black humour we have all heard at funeral,s ect, when we realise how fallible we all are, as the saying goes, there but for the grace of god go I.
