Two Springers....... One Transmitter
« on: July 31, 2011, 03:24:44 pm »

Today I though I would try out my new Planet 5 Transmitter.

I have wired up my two Springers with the matching 2.4 gig receivers and have dedicated the the RH stick to one and the LH stick to the other.

I went off to the lake today for a trial run. Both worked flawlessly  (unlike the Captain!)  and it proved to be fun driving them both at the same time.

Mr's Bosun did the filming and I shall edit the clips together for a YouTube film later.

Very impressive, Ken, the boats and the co-ordination :-)). However, unlike CGAux26, I can do three things at the same time.... I can walk, talk and breathe simultaneously, how's that for versatility? {-) {-) %%

Kenny,

You are a very talented fellow. Brilliant, but how do they go if you race one against the other???

Thank you all for your comments.  I'm not that good. If you look closely you'll notice that one is always going faster than the other. (something to do with co-ordination !)

I shall have a practice and arrange a sequence dance one day.   :}

you just need to learn how to operate your eyes indipendantly 1 for each tug. as long as the tugs dont drift to far apart.  %%

Passing each other 'head on' was nerve racking. I challenge anyone to do this and 'Vere off' both boats at the same time.  {-)

Veering off two models on one Tx coming head to head should be easy, as long as you move both sticks in the same direction!
If they're on a collision course both 'forking off left' would be a proper nautical manoeuvre
