Tian Jie Models
« on: August 02, 2011, 09:59:11 am »

Just wondering if anyone has attempted one of the kits from this manufacturer from China, distributed by Hobby Lobby in Germany as reported in the new MB.

http://www.hobby-lobby-modellbau.com/onlineshop/index.php/cat/c319_Batleship.html

Curious as to the quality of kit and extent of running gear supplied, may get myself a leaving gift.

Robert

Any pics of the kits would be appreciate, particularly the S-boot

Did`nt Deans Marine distribute these a few years ago?

I know someone who built a Sovrremenny class destroyer. A few ill fitting parts, a bit of work needed on the fitting and some missing items, but generally, not too bad.
It did build into a really nice model though.

if you take a look at Warship world, you might find a few who would disagree with your comments.
all i can say is check the different sites out before parting with your hard earned money for reports and feedback. {:-{ {:-{ {:-{

the owner of Tj models, i know reasonably well, he has taken part in all of the World championships that i have been to, and has won most of them with his Prototype of a Kit in the Kit class...

Deansmarine did have these models in there selection for a while but were with drawn because; (as far as i know) non of the kits were ever 100% complete, and it was nearly impossible to get the bit that was missing...

Hobby-Lobby (also know the owner) are selling the kits that they can get hold of, non of the boxes are checked by Hobby-Lobby for completeness.

these kits make extremely good models, the resin parts are extremely detailed  :-))  :-))

Hi guys, that thread of the Udaloy build is my thread and is an ARK model, but I have built some from Tian Jie. They can be found at:

http://www.wmunderway.8m.com/cgi/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1250616108/0#0

This is a Arleigh Burke build, and:

This is a Schnell Boat build

Any questions please email at steve_culpan@yahoo.co.uk and more than happy to help :)
