evening all.

as we at atboatyard have been a bit busy lately we decided last sunday to give ourselves a day off and relax so we decided to go to the lake where the nutters where having a multi regatta. ended up manning the rescue boat most of the day got  burnt but alan found out that watching multi racing was not as relaxing as he thought it would be

I wouldn't call it FUN!!  I'd call it unnecessary, dangerous STUPIDITY!!
If OUR racers don't slow down when (safely) passing the rescue boat, they lose laps or are disqualified.
Not ALL ic racers think like that!!!!!

(if this is meant as "tongue-in-cheek", I'm sorry but I find it in poor taste - there are too many people who are only too happy to get IC banned for just this kind of thing).

the driver of the race boat was banned for the rest of the day and was very upset that he may have caused harm. it was the potential "victims" who took it in good heart. the racers took it all very seriously.

Glad to hear it.  A 'C' boat doing sub-19 second laps coming straight at you is not an experience I would wish to repeat (got the T-shirt).
