more on the build which takes me back to the bridge and wireless room Im doing the doors my way so they look the same in and out cutting the holes for the windows then I will stain them and varnish then when all dry will fix them in place then add the brass portholes.

more on the boat deck also the water tank that sits ontop of the wireless room have redone the pipe work so it goes down to the deck.

Hi Wallace
You seem to be moving along well now.
A small point though with the water tanks. I have fitted a top fill and a bottom feed as per domestic practice.
You have fitted two bottom pipes as per the instructions. Was naval practice with these tanks different ?
I would be interested on any comments from anyone who knows.

more on the doors had to cut open to fit the plastic glass then join back together.

Onto the hatch's in the photo are  Hatch to Hold forward  Hatch to Hold aft both made out of wood
also two forward Coal hatch's and two aft Cargo hatch's  both are white metal as in early photos.
other photos are showing the hatch tops all made out of plywood  stained and varnihed.

more on the hatch's all together  and showing the base's are level so they sit level on the deck,with the cover's on which have all been sanded down to fit.

Hatch's and all the cover's are rub down and the base is had two coats of primmer and two coats of gloss and the covers are all stained and two coats of gloss varnish.

Back to the funnel remove the unfix steam pipe and used nylon cord and lagged the both pipes from top to bottom I think it makes it look good.

still on the boat deck  the boat frames the the ships boats sit on are made out of ply 3mm and sit into a piece of wood for strengh the ships boats dont look right not happy with so found some great ones on dockyard so will be getting them.

Onto the stern platform made a few adjustments  to the drawing added a safely rail and cover the brass rail in nylon which makes it stand out.The photos were taken once again a few months ago getting the platform just right took a lot of hours but it looks good  when put all together.
