Love this build series wallace.  It has inspired me to consider building one myself.  Any idea on sailing weight?  I did call them but they had no info on record for that.  Could be up to 30 lbs possibly?

The making and fitting of the Towing Beams
While I was making the beams I thought they were on the thin side etc and would break easy with getting in and out of the engine room so I used a lot stronger plywood and double it up fixed stronger rods two coats of primer and three coats of gloss the photos will tell the story I hope.

As the owner of a scruffy looking, weathered HMT Resolve, I must say your brightwork and varnished finish look great, keep up the good work.

Putting together the Shrouds and Ratlines its a job that I'm not that good at but I always give it a good go and if I'm not happy I start again and again until I get it right have already been at it for over two weeks trying always tried fixing the ratlines to the shroud by a clove hitch knot was not happy but here are some of my trys so far and fix with super glue oh what fun.

This one was my latest try at doing it and fixed using epoxy and I left it over night so this photo is hot of the press taken 26 oct 2013  there were many failed ones which I was not going to photo but maybe later to show how bad they were so hoping this one is ok and not to much epoxy showing if so I may later paint with black paint.

Hi Wallace
You should try fixing the masts and shrouds in place then tie the ratlines after as per full size practice.
Get the ratlines positioned where you want them by sliding them up and down the shrouds making sure both sides look right then apply a little cyno on the end of a pin to fix them in place--easy

These photos are about the ships boats I have changed them from the plastic form cut outs  to the ones in the photos they are a lot stronger and look ten times better hope you like
done a tiny bit of cleaning of them and then two coats of primer and the ships hull two coats of top coat inside the same and the floor and around the top light brown all inside are going to have a coat of varnish.

Its back to the funnel and the stays from funnel to the boatdeck I have tried another way and method to stop un wanted hands from breaking bits of the boat by touching the stays during the photos will tell all.

What I have done this time is used Black ELASTICATED cord so if you catch it it is not going to do any harm.
