Tug capsize in Thames
« on: August 12, 2011, 01:00:30 pm »

11 am,Two tugs have collided near Greenwich Pier, one of them , The Chieftain, has capsized and sunk, with one crew member missing. Thames closed around Greenwich while a search is carried out. BBC News, just now. Hope they find the missing bloke and he's ok.

Just watching it on Sky News.  Its sad. I do hope they find the person. As ex-coastguard and hopefully soon to be RNLI crew, I know what it is like to carry out these types of searches and what it does to the family(ies) irrespective of the outcome
