Thanks for the link. I know one of the ships was open to the public a few yrs ago at Portsmouth navy days. I saw it in the  model boats magazine. But anyone that had taken pictures would probably have forgotten :-X

67 photos at shipspotting.com, but the link is too long to insert here, I guess.

Also some photos of HDMS Esbern Snare, L17. They appear to be sisterships, but that's no guarantee that they are identical.

Hers's a way to see all 67: click on this link: http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1877048
then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on More Photos of This Ship. That should get you to the collection of all the photos.

Hi, Hope it will it be allowed for a foregner to give a little information.

The L16 Absalon (2004)and her sister ship L17 Esbern Snare (2005) is what directly translated is called a "kommando support wessel".

They are identical - at least mostly, because the Navy always makes changes from ship to ship even if they are the same class and built at nearly the same time - pure Development.

Three other later frigats , the F361 Iver Huitfeldt, F362 Peter Willemoes and F363 Niels Juel, are basically built on the same hull but with som changes because of their purpose, but they have the same dimensions, and then they are equipped very different - and again - these ships also have and will have minor changes during production. As far as I remember just the first two are now operational.
