Introducion
« on: August 20, 2011, 04:06:27 pm »

Hello,
I just joined the this forum, so I will shortly introduce myself.
My name is Stephan, I am 45 years old and I live in small village some 25 Kilometers south of Stuttgart in Germany.
(English for me is still a foreign language so please don`t look to much on spelling mistakes)
I started building ship-modells 20 years ago but I've still finished only two modells up to now.

The first modell I've was a kit by "KRICK" named "Karl&Marie"; see the Pictures below.
I will show pictures of the second boat later.

That's all for today.
Stephan

Hi Stephan,
What a lovely model you have built. I looked at the Krick sales advertisement and she is advertised as a static scale model. Is this how you have have built her or is she modified to r/c?

Interesting that you are from Germany, as today I was reading a very interesting item, Dampf in Deutshland, in the August edition of Marine Modelling International magazine covering the Raab Karcher X1V - Oscar Huber, the last Rhine river tug of its kind. A very good magazine item.

Hello Stephan.  Very nice boat,  Thank you for sharing the pictures.
Stuttgart is a lovely city.  I have been there several times, mainly to Eurobowl Finals at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion and cheerleader championships in the sports hall there.  Everyone was so friendly.  Warm memories.
Best wishes

Hi Blazer

If you post your location in your profile it will help other members to know where you are.

We have some German members and they might be your neighbours.   ;)

Cheers

Hello,

thanks everybody for the warm wellcome.
The modell of the Karl&Marie is a static modell.
I never tried but I think it would swim like the "Wasa" on her first journey.
Bob I agree with you. Stuttgart is really a beautiful city. I really enjoy living in this area of Germany.

Für die Deutschen Forumsteilnehmer: Ich wohne in Aichtal bei Nürtingen und bin im "RC-Modellbauforum-Schiffe Forum" ebenfalls unter "Blazer" angemeldet.

Thats all for today.

Welcome Stephan.
Nice boat, dont worry about your spelling.
A lot of people in this country have problems spelling their own language,
but as long as we understand you, there is no problems.
Your English is very good, well done
