They're a right pain those bottles and have to lie on their side. Think I was up your way yesterday Ned? Delivering to Goole and Hull near the docks in my truck. Dave.  :-))

Hi Dave. I'm working on some working gravity davits to fit them lifeboats. They have quite a low profile so they should fit nicely if you interested.

Hi Phil, hope you're ok? Won't have enough room in the car to bring it with other boats Im bringing along. It'll be at Mayhem next year and hopefully a few other shows.
It would be big enough sail down to Warwick in Neil!  O0

Done some more today, got most of the deck fitted in place. Majority of the work is under the surface and can't be seen unfortunately. Did the last piece of the bow on the workbench with it going dark earlier now. Dave.  :-))

Lots more done over last 2 days though doesn't look like it at first glance. Deck is all fitted and the hull has been trimmed flush to deck level, got all marks and knocks off the hull that have happened during the build too. That was a job and a half, tedious and long winded, took most of yesterday. The thrusters have all been trimmed and are now flush with the hull. She's now virtually ready for painting. I just need to add a pair of 'bulges' on the bow where the anchors will be fitted and a strip of styrene where the 2 deck levels at the bow meet. I ran out of time as it started to look very overcast so have packed it in for today. Detail fittings will be added once she's painted.
Anyone any ideas for colour schemes? Remember it's going to be a tanker and a container ship, possibly LNG carrier too. I was thinking of Maersk colours as I like the blue and she'll go well with my Sydney Star. More to come soon, Dave.

Aye, she's truly terrifying, you'd be licked to death!  O0  Weather doesn't look too good and I'm working later so don't think I'll be doing much outside today, I might get some of the pipework done for the tanker deck. Roll on summer I say.  %%

Not managed to do much lately with working, poor weather and getting another 4 boats ready to go to Warwick but have managed some work. I've decided to start on some of the deck fittings, today I've made a pair of anchor winches using those on my Sydney Star as a rough basis. Off to Warwick on Thursday so may see some of you down there hopefully. Dave.  :-))

Hi there all, well I'm just letting folks know that the supertanker is now under a different flag of ownership. She's now sailing under the '6705russell' banner, I unfortunately had to let her go to help pay for my dog to have a major operation after Tesco pet insurance refused to pay out....but that's another long story and I advise anyone to give them a wide berth as they'll find any excuse not to pay out. I've also had to part with my much loved Our Lass 2, HMS Exploit and other bits and pieces.  {:-{ A sad couple of months on the boating front but my little Yorkie Jojo is now doing fine and is back to her own self, so it's been worth it.  :-) Next project, that'll be finishing a part built 1/72 scale Prinz Eugen measuring 10'6" long! Thanks for letting me buy her off you Russ, there will be a thread starting on it soon, Dave.  :-))

Thanks for the comments guys, I'd have sold my whole fleet to sort my daft dog out. She's certainly getting back to her old mischievous ways! Was going to pop down the lake this morning but had to collect Prinz E and weather wasn't very good. We were forced to go to McDonalds for a coffee though!

So glad your cute four legged friend is on the mend. Get your teeth into a good build as it's great therapy.

Hope you picked up extra coffee sticks.   %) %)

Hi all,

I have done some small works on the tanker since I took over the build, I will be making this as an LNG carrier, thinking of using the plastic food bowls as the gas containers....
