sails and rigging

I read a thread regarding sail material on one of the posts and unfortunately have lost the web site <*< <*< They specialize in cotton sail material for sailing ships and barges. Would anyone remember this site and, if possible forward it to me. Thanks

Nearly all cotton sail material sold is Egyptian cotton or down/feather proof cambric.

I just bought feather proof cambric on Amazon and it was fairly cheap buying 1m pieces. But postage was steep.
But if you buy a 10m roll it is very cheap indeed, postage was not bad, and you will never need to buy again.

Member Jaydee, on his monster 7 foot Bluenose, used (if I remember) bed sheets.
He preshrank these himself, and then treated them with cotton waterporoofer (get this from hiking/camping shops)

I also used bed sheets on my present build, but have not finished yet so cannot comment on performance.

You can also get it from most haberdashery shops or Dunlins
