in model kill switch

i have a kill switch in my model amphi-tank, the switch works on spare receiver channel, problem is, i don't have a spare channel on the transmitter, can i make a 5th channel on the tranny and have it as a flick switch ??  nick

Can you let the lads know what make and model transmitter you have please? Possibly one of Actions channel splitters could do the job. John.

Why do you need a kill switch?  Some of the ESC's like Mtronics Vipers have built-in fail-safes that cut power to the motor when the signal is lost.  Turn off the TX and the boat stops.  Turn on the TX with the boat "out there" and the ESC re-initializes in a few seconds and off she goes.  It works well on both of my boats.

i would imagine he has some thing in his tank that needs to be switched of from the power, for safely reasons...

for example the use of pyrotechnics requires a kill switch
