Overlander sport 25c 2200mah
« on: August 28, 2011, 03:26:54 pm »

Hello all,

Now that my seaspray is up and running, using a Photon SBS 12.0T 3300 Kv motor 60 amp ESC combo and a 35mm S prop. I have noticed after a a few fast runs the motor is very hot but the ESC and batts are cool, then after 5 of use the boat dies in the middle of the pond, once in, the Voltage is done to down to around 8 volts.

Is this the engine working hard and using up the Lipo power if so do I need a bigger capacity batts, lower KV motor or smaller prop?

There is no water cooling at the moment.

Cheers CP  :-))

Thank you. I'm trying to find out at the moment how by using the programme card I can set the voltage cut off, the battery is a 11.1v 3s 2200 mah overlander, Yes I have read some info on lipo  <*< but we all have to start somewhere. %%

I have a Photon 1/10 SBS 12. motor and 60A esc combo

no watercooling is the reason, it may be a 60 amp esc but only when cooled , they use water to replace a big chunce of metal as a cooler so it has to have water it is prob shutting down due to overheating.
