Chequer plate

(1/2) > >>

anmo:
I'm building a model inshore trawler, 1/16th scale about 34" long, but I need some chequer plate to represent the hatch cover. Don't think I've ever seen any in a model shop, can anyone suggest a possible source of supply?

gribeauval:
Model railway shops that sell plasticard etc in sheets will have checquer plate. I bought a sheet myself this morning!!

colin-stevens:
try ema.

Dave Leishman:
Squires Tools sell it in their plasticard range. Unfortunately they're still not online for their products and ordering yet (mail order, or shop visit only), although you can request a catalogue through their web page.

Even if you don't like mail order, their catalogue is worth having just so you can flick through and see the range of materials and tools that are available to the modeller :)

sweeper:
Try having a look at www.slatersplastikard.com
You can buy on-line or there is a list of retaillers sorted by county.
