Steam Engine supplier in the USA
« on: March 14, 2007, 04:26:19 am »

Found on another forum...
http://www.pmresearchinc.com/

At least one satisfied user (who posted the URL), and the prices seem at least a bargain to me.  They make a twin cylinder, reversible, self starting engine.  Can't find it on their web site though.  These are machined, unassembled engines.  I have problems with their web site, no idea if it's their or my fault.
I'd be interested in what people here thought of them.

I couldn't find the twin oscillator either but the single is double acting so you could maybe put two of them together on the same shaft.  It looks a bit on the crude side which may result in leaks from the port face if the machining isn't up to it but for the sake of 13.00 quid it has to be worth buying one and try it out.  It also doesn't include the oiler or control valve so you are only getting the very basic motor.

A Hemmens twin oscillator runs to about 250.00 quid  though so you afford to play around a hell of a lot before you spend the same!!

From my reading of the site all the quoted prices are for kits of castings. Though they say they are available rtr I can't find any prices. There is an options button but it doesn't do anything. Mind you, I quite like the hot air engines.

If you look at this link and scroll down the page you will see the very same engine with prices.

If you scroll even further down the page you will see the TVR1A also with prices.
