Svitzer Bidston/ Bootle Tug Boats
« on: March 14, 2007, 03:46:28 pm »

:) Last Saturday at The Mobile Marine Models Bonanza, somebody asked Bryan about his new Bootle & Bidston tug boat hulls. He seemed perplexed that the secret was out! All he would commit himself to was that they would be announced soon and then he changed the subject, started talking about the Euro-girl!
There wasn't much time for discussion in the factory or shop as they were so busy. The studio where Sue & Jerome of SHG and John & James of Model Power were located was full too. Tom Gorman had a space allocated in the workshop next to MMM’s ‘Ropewalk’ so that he could show off his books and continue with the Canning that he’s building. He gave up with the painting of it because he was continuously answering questions and giving advice.
It was a great day out and an opportunity to get all the modelling bits and pieces without having to fork out postage costs. MMM have a good selection of strip wood, marine ply and sheet plastic which is usually hard to find anywhere.
The pork and stuffing rolls from the catering van were very tasty too!  :) :)
