I have just about recovered enough from my pneumonia on top of emphysema to start on my Armidale 1:72 scale.
I received the hull from Steve in Oz last September and since then it has been sitting on my bench.
Having trimmed the top of the hull I then made and fitted the bilge keels and stabilizers.
My next job was to fit the M2 prop shafts, P frames and motors all of which I obtained from
http://marksmodelbits.com/The props are Raboesch from
www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk I also fitted the two rudders
I then fitted the rudder servo and linkage
Next job was to make and fix the skeg between the shafts. The skeg, bilge keel and stabilizers are all made of plasticard reinforced with brass rod.
Gluing the balsa deck support came next after rubbing down the inside of the hull to smooth and supply key for glue.
The observant ones amongst you will notice that I moved the servo and linkage from its original position to make it more efficient.
That is as far as I have got so far. Dont hold your breath for the next installment as I am still struggling healthwise at the moment.
