One of the many projects on my slipway is our tug, submersible... Watch this space......

 :-))

Hope ya going to have a dive klaxon ..That would be just a pi***r!   %%
Gave idea some thought and decided it was too much for me to attempt..
concept and such is easy( folding mast ,dive planes, etc, etc )

No doubt the Indian guy (Krishna ?) who makes EVERYTHING from junk and sticky back toilet roll tubes would have one knocked out in a day...
plastic pop bottle, rubber bands, cereal box and few bits of Hoovers and such then ....WORKING  SUBMATUG!
Alas i never did blue peter and "Tracey Island" was but a dream so .........

ANDY   Would love to see that one.. hope i get an invite when its finished ..
even though your in wales !!!     {-)

ADE..   whats ya forte? cos ya don't sound like a tug/workboat type?
  barge sounds like Hammond's vw crossed with clarksons toybota..   :}

sadly thats all i have time for tonight , so.....

Nippy little b****r without a doubt.
 Cheers for the link.

Hoping to achieve something a little more dramatic though.
Guessing the springer was not built with speed as a primary concern though.
Whereas mine is !!!

That one would have been built entirely for speed, I doubt very much whether it has any power for pulling at all. Whereas mine was built for maximum pulling power, just happens that it's rather fast {-)

Correct me if i am wrong.... that surely isn't anywhere near whats possible if speed is the aim?

Springers are shaped basically like a curvy brick... You're never going to get one to go very fast. If you want  fast, a steam tug type hull is ideal, they're generally very pointy for a tug... I can help you with that if you want a hull.....

OK if you need a more hydrodynamic hull shape ..here is one one designed by Old Mother Nature. Look for SuperDee27 by Diegoboy on Youtube  {-) ( I cant get the link to work, but it is there)

Thank you Kenny, there is a part 2 also. %) I missed the http:// bit :embarrassed:  This "Q ship" could be useful for clearing unwanted wildlife from boating lakes. It would scare the guano out of them and bread-feeders too ! <*<

Arrow,

Looking at the web address, the URL, it appears, with my limited ability,  that the missing 'v' after the question mark and before the equals sign is what was causing the problem.
