Yet another set has just popped up, available at the end of the month apparently. :-)
A set of 4 injection moulded similar to the original cammett product. www.facebook.com/AFVCLUB.TW

Seems Christmas has come early for us Booters! :-))

Trying again.
Finalising the weathering, crew positions and preparing the access hatches for sealing. Having problems with my Vallejo Matt varnish, shaken, stirred and still drying with a sheen.  Think I may have a dodgy batch, and may use another make to finish!

Having got some of my Mo-Jo back, and a new camera, here are a few updates.
I noticed that several of the crew figures I was going to use had gone AWOL, so here are a few new poses I have produced.
The next step is to tackle the hull, all 3ft of it, hopefully it won't take too long (no pun intended) but it will be the largest area I will have attempted with brush & acrylics.
Thank goodness for Future to seal between base coats & weathering, makes it so easy to remove errors!

Started on the hull weathering at last, been putting it off for a long while as such a large area to cover, 39 inches long.

Ojays,

Lookin' great  :-)) . Models always look better as a "real working" type boat, I believe.

Made a start on installing the electronic gizmo's.
Positions not finalised yet as still need to do a balance check on water.

Not been modelling for a while for various reasons.
Now back and major electrical problem now sorted.
Weight comes out a little more than I anticipated at 6.8lbs (may have to use a smaller battery), just hope she doesn't sit too low in the water.
Hopefully maiden voyage soon!

Gregg....that sure is a bit of realism with the acetylene bottle standing up & the oxygen laying down  :-))......

If you are trying to save some weight....why not exhaust the gas bottles  {-) .....after all they contain liquid...... %) ....Derek

 {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) Derek.
Waterproof seals fitted (windscreen wiper blade rubbers)
Electronics all working correctly with rudder/prop mixing sorted.
Lurssen Effekt working as I wanted (well mechanism anyway)
Don't know if it will affect the attitude as it should on water.

I have decided this is as far as I want to go with this build.
Just need the parks authorities to refill the boating pond, that they have decided to drain for the first time in 25yrs.

My next build, which I hope will be ready for when the pond is refilled next year.
R/C again but only as a surface runner, as I haven't the funds or expertise to make her a diver.
All 53 inches of her.

Im tempted to buy one of these, but I have too many others to build first.

The attention to detail on this beggars belief, I love it..... looking forward to seeing it on the water

Hi Ojays, Lovely build and impressive paintwork. It is a shame that the mines were such a nuisance to get, I bet you are glad you did not want loads as it might have taken ages to get them all.

I hope your lake is refilled and ready soon

Very late update.
Still not having a local pond to use, I have temporary membership of Bridlington Model Boat club.
Hopefully I will be able to take the S-100, and my Flower Corvette, and finally get them on the water.
Photo is of the only time she has touched water so far.

Hi Ojays, Interesting, informative build and superb weathering an inspiration for fellow modellers !
Any thoughts about the rudders set up ? now you've had her running.  Paul

Thanks for the positive comments.
To be honest, no noticeable difference in speed or stance.
