Heres the vids of maiden voyage.
The 1st vid is with 4214 prop but cavitation was the issue.
Stepped up to M445 then had issue,i originally thought it was LVC,but after checking batt voltage there was plenty left in.
run again and same thing again but the temps on the batts & motor were fine but the caps on esc were hot so think its thermal cutoff kicked in,the cooling is working fine no problems there,so need to figure out away to stop this happening,im thinking cap bank and larger id cooling pipe.
what you guys reckon?????????
But overall real happy, handles the choppy water turns at near WOT,doesnt dig in and planes on the edge while being stable, till you go into the oncoming wind then have to back off a little but moving batts forward on widy days can be done easily.
Windy conditions certainly made it fun LOL

"AWW" Daz, you aint nickin' bits out of your other boats again? [ha ha]

"presume" you're using the, er "other longer pool" later, as ours does still a fair bit of debris, sufficient to block a cooling pickup...........

And id hate that with yours!

Will speak soon about  "advertising" for this if you are really wanting to "push" it matey..........

Hey steve
yep saving money for further development LOL
Yeah i will use other pool not prepared to risk it bud,got a lot riding on this hull.
No probs im pushing hard to get everything ready and sorted,CAD work should be finished this week, but having rely on mate so he can only do it when he got time.
cant complain though, once finished ill send of for 1st laser cut hull make sure everything is as it should then progress from there.

Hi guys
Managed to run the F1 on 5s,what a barrel of laughs LOL
But iv got a couple of issues to iron out,the main 1 when its up on plane and starts hitting some speed its drifting to the left and im having to put on alot of opposite to try and correct it.makes driving it fun for sure the other is the porpoising.Any way heres the vids see what you think.

oh and a pic of GPS reading
not considering the issues made it almost impossible hit full throttle

Im Fine Daz, its just that I have only just switched the computer back on again after doing some jobs at home!

The vids look good matey,  its just a pity you still havent got sufficient "calm/smooth" water to get several passes in. Looking at the videos it seems the major times the boat gets twitchy is when it travels over its "old wake/s" in the water, if you find clear water she's a flyer!
As for the "left drift", do you think its simply the "torque twist" from the prop?, afterall there aint much of anything else left of the boat in the water, is there [LOL], if you deepen the turn fins, its only going to add drag again and no doubts you are trying to reduce as much as poss.

Or is it better to limit it now and at least you have a working design and know its limit, without pushing it over the edge [hope you dont - again].

I'll email you direct about the advertising, but you may have to work sharpish to hit the print deadline!
