Hannah I still can't believe that someone so young is showing such incredible levels of drive and enthusiasm to complete such an unbelievable project that the vast majority of us would shy away from.

You really are amazing and not just an inspiration to us all but an example to all youngsters of today of just what you can do if you out your mind to it.  I hope a lot more young people are equally inspired and realise how much more there is out there than computer games and DVD's.

I really enjoy watching this thread and look forward to seeing her on the water.

Thank you all for the pictures. I am getting there slowly but I am enjoying every minute building her and I am looking forward to getting her on the water.

Not so long ago I sent you a pic. of Hermes....and came across these 2 more taken during the same replenishment. Thought you may be interested, especially in the "old" aircraft. Keep it up! BY.

Hello everyone, I have been hard at work doing the hull cut outs and one side is now finished (at last!!). I have also done the side armour plating on both sides and I have started doing the cut outs on the other side (my dad has been helping a bit as well!!)
I have also finished the bow and stern decks, I did these separate to the main part of the deck as they are a very awkward shape.
As you can see by the pictures she is starting to look like a ship now ;D ;D.

Looking really good Hannah, you've done alot since the last photos.
I did notice that all those holes you cut seem to have healed up in the last photo.
Shame about the old van and motorbike in the photos. ;)

Can aircraft kits be obtained at the correct scale? You are surely not going to build them all from scratch too?
I can only find MKI Fairey Swordfish kits at 1/48 and 1/72 (from Tamiya and Corgi).
Will you use Fulmars, Swordfish and Skuas?
I see Deans Marine offers a range of aircraft at 1/96 for their HMS Fencer but they do not mention which types.

Hi mate, we were planning to make our own, make one and take a mould and cast in resin, weight will not be an issue on a model of this size ;D ;D ;D
If that proves too difficult we will use the Deans Marine Swordfish from HMS Fencer.

We have not done much more to the Ark recently as we are in the middle of our car show season and we spend alot of time drinking!!! 8)....... plus we have got rid of Hannah for TWO WHOLE WEEKS!!! as she is staying with her nan and grandad on the New Forest (it's soooo Quiet...... heaven!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D)
Keep you all updated as we progress,

Mark.

Mark.

(P.S. anyone else want to sponsor a plane) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I 'll build you an RC one that flys  but I think it may be a bit big to fit on that deck  :-\ ;D

But will also buy one of Deans for Hannah  if it helps fill up that substantial deck space

Hi guys, we are both over whelmed with your generosity, we are in the process of moving house at the moment and most of the modelling gear is packed away ready to move, (that's why there have been no updates recently).
We will pm you all after we have moved and thank you all again,

Mark and Hannah.
