Hi my name is Mick & I have just joined the forum. I am in the process of building the Smit Nederland & have a few concerns about making it water tight. I am building it as per the plans supplied ( I have seen a few changes that would have helped to stop water ingress on this forum but alas too late.) I need to know what to seal the bow thruster & propshafts with (the hull is ABS) Also how to seal the removable superstructure to where it fits on to the deck, is there a special tape or something ?. Any help will be welcome. I live in Canada & have not found any clubs here local. I do know there are lots of people across the pond with lots of knowledge for model boat building & are members here.( I have already had help on a different matter from Dave @ ACTion & Martin @ Westbourne, thanks guys)I will in time post some pictures of the build but must first figure out how to post them. I have the Fairmount Alpine waiting in the background to start. I will post some pictures of the kit soon. NOTE, I would need to know the actual product name. Glass would not help ,Thanks guys,Mick B.
