Model slipway Yorkshireman
« on: October 16, 2011, 01:34:04 pm »

Hi Gents,
I am building the Yorkshireman and I am just about to install the electrics. I intend to run two MFA 919D series motors at 6:1 gear ratio, my question is can I use two Mtroniks sport 20 ESC to drive the motors. As you can guess I am quite new to twin screwed boats in fact this is the first one.
Many thanks for your advice.

I'd have thought so. I presume the 20 in the name means the esc is rated to 20 amps and under normal use, those motors will only draw about 2.5 amps each.

I'd go with the ACTION p94. Its gives phenomenal control to a twin prop vessel.

I'd also go with ACTion's  P94

Have done three times already.

Hi Bob, I too would endorse the ACTion p94. Thats what I am using in my Smitty & Fairmount Alpine, You are buying one unit that does the job of three in your case. Mick B.
