When I was at the 2009 Warwick Show I saw the Mull of Kintyre on the Bretagne Boys Stand which I think
belonged to either Christian or his friend does anybody know if this hull or one very similar is available which will take
two Graupner Schottle Drives (65 mm props).
many thanks

Hello Martin
Yes "my" Mull of Kintyre was first the paul Mc Cartney and the Wings song :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JPHNuAAZDE&feature=related
Later as I was preparing a report about the Calmac ferries I came myself to that place in Scotland
Then if you look to Wikipedia there is also this one ... surprising isn't it ?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mull_of_Kintyre_test
(have a look to the map of Argyl and Bute peninsula !)

McCartney & Co didn't know where they were for long periods and proved it with that dirge 'Mull of Kintyre'.
The Mull is a headland at the southern tip of the peninsula of Kintyre and NOT the peninsula itself.

Hello
I was just 15 year old when Mc Cartney sang this song, I did not understand English at that time and I loved music and bagpipes ! Yes I know Mull of Kintyre is only the headland, I used to go up to the end of the road till the lighthouse. 20 years ago with a french navy ship I was off-shore of this lighthouse at night I saw the light and during the whole shift (0 to 4) I sang this song in my head and later in my bed.

If you want to really hear the music of Mull of Kintyre you have to hear Mantovani play it, it takes my breath away, the first time I heard it was on a flight back from Tokyo. It took me months to track it down, finally found it on Napster. Mick B.
