he was the origonal gangsta with all that gold.... even before rappers started with their gold he already had the majority of the royal mint on his wrists

Have to say running over 200 marathons in his lifetime is worth the knighthood in itself.
Never knew he was a wrestler tho

watched a short tribute to him on BBc world news last night, showing him on an RNLI launch on the 46' Watson RNLB Field Marshal and Mrs Smuts....a Jim'll Fix it  job.........he was made an Honorary Lifeboat crew member on that one................

In his years of raising money for charity, he raised over 40 million quid for various children's hospitals and other worthwile caused........40 mill............just absolutely incredible.

certainly did deserve his knighthood.150%

God bless him.........there won't be another ever to match him..........

Along with Fiery Fred ( F.S. Trueman ) Sir Jimmy was a true Yorkshire man, what you saw was what you got.
Both raised millions for various charities during their lives, they just got on and did it,
no fuss or bother  and neither of them looked for the limelight that so many of today's so called celebrities crave.
RIP Jimmy.
