I get this message when viewing a topic, just worried it's my system as it's both of them

Language file abbcode.php : /var/www/portal_v3/forum/language/en_us/mods/abbcode.php couldn't be opened.

Tried all sorts....no go...

Could there be a corruption of the database?

Weird that it is both sites and both use the same informe..

Hi Darren - I am only having the problem viewing topics on MWUK,  the MWS forum is working OK.
Last night when you were having trouble both these sites were working for me. Would appear the
problem is on the  site and not your PC.

Just doing a little dective work....

Looks like if you change the language database to en_uk that may help....

Maybe worth a try??

No problems my end either, although I do know  a fair number of people are having issues.
I`ve reported it to the admin teams on both MWUK  and The model Warship Forum but it seems they are unable to fix it as the problem is with Informe.

There is an Informe error affecting all of their hosted Forums.  Access is random and some people are unaffected whilst others are badly affected.

We have tried changing user settings but this only makes it worse.  Inform are aware of the problem and we hope for a resolution.

Would someone with the error please check if they can see their user control panel, whether their language settings are set to British English.  If not please try changing the setting to this language setting and pm me with the result.

Thanks

Ok

For both the ModelwarshipUK and The Model Warship Forum members with problems, we seem to have a possible solution.

It looks as if the problem is with a file for "American English"

By going to the User Control Pannel in your forum please ensure that your language setting is "British English".

Several people have reported this has remedied their problems.

The admin team cannot change a users preferences so you need to keep trying to log on untill it let's you in.  This seems to happen every so often.  My guess is that the error file has a number of user limit and when too many people across the entire Informe forum base try to use it it locks up.  As its the American English file try when the yanks are all asleep, in the morning.
