I was the fool who bought the diminutive Prawner off these very pages.
As I was waiting on more photos for my big build, I started on the tiny prawner. Here's the progress to date:
I've deviated slightly from the destructions...partly through ineptitude and partly through bloody mindedness. The deck is higher at the stern than it might, perhaps, be. The combing round the cockpit is higher than the kit calls for but this looks more like the boats I've seen. I made it from two spare bits of mahogany lamination. I think it looks okay. The hull's painted with matt enamels and the decks (etc) are done with ronseal floor oil.
As a first foray into small models, I'm not displeased. I did have to ask for a mangifying light for my Birthday though.....must be getting old.
