I not really sure where to put this bit here goes. I found this video of a ship which is likely to be my next model or at least her sister Norbay.
Things like this are invaluable when it comes to hull detail. It must useful to someone else.

I know this has been mentioned before but I'll stick it in here anyway.  A great site for deck plans and G/A plans.

Cheers Ali - nice ship, but I dont think she would make a good sailing model. Imagine the windage!!!!

Here is another ferry site that I have in my 'favourites':

Nice video. Those were the days of proper integrated travel. I quite fancy doing some of those Sealink ferries but there doesn't seem to be that much info about.

I have some original builders drawings of a few of them:

Duke of Lancaster
Lord Warden
TSS Dover
TSS Avalon
MV Speedlink Vanguard

and GA's of:
Hengist / Horsa / Senlac
St Anselm / St Christopher
Vortigern

I also have some nice drawings of the Stena Leader (originally Buffalo for Pandoro Fleetwood/Larne service).
Will get them sent over   :-))

Thanks Carl I knew you would have the answers.
Speaking of PANDORO, I do want to get the Deans Marine Muirneag but rename it Belard.

Thin edge of the wedge!!!

Or maybe they are trying to create a warchest to buy the SeaFrance ships after tomorrow......
Carl

PS Will they have a rasta crew and steel band to entertain?

I liked the ships with the British crews because you can have a good chat with them. The last time I travelled however, I did notice a rather multinational feel so I think this has been happening for a while.
It's not necessarily a bad thing as people do say the the atmosphere on the Dutch ships which have a very foreign crew, tends to be better.

Like the Ferry, Hate the advert.

The you go Ali, you simply said 'front' that's great!!!
because I would agonise over prow or bow
As I do window, port or porhole etc etc
To prove the point it is now going through my head
Is there a definition of a porthole?
I annoy myself sometimes O0

I didn't think 'bow' was the right word to use as it look like this ship has two. I can only assume that under the water line, its more like a conventional ship. I suppose a better question would be. Which side is Port and which side is starboard?
