Well all set up and in record time!
Models by Design was already setup and ready before I even arrived! - Good show Andy!
Anglia Marine club has brought a marquee so big it has it's own post code!
Wicksteed club boys in very ebullient spirits.... or just spirits full stop.
Phil has brought along a very interesting new model.
An unrecognizable Andy is here....
Paul, Bob, Klunk, John, Nigel, David, Brain, Dennis, Stav and Kelly are all here....

No hangover!! Well just a tad.
Breakfast done, off to a damp lake in a bit . Martin get the coffee on its going to be the only thing that's going to keep us warm today. Still make the best of it as it is going to pee down from tonight onwards!!!!!

Just got back from Wicksteed. Weather nice, welcome warm. Great to actually meet so many 'screen names' in person.
Good suggestion about name badges. I made mine up last night.
For any who did not read Martin's edict on weather, the forecast for Sunday is steadily improving, so unless the odd cloud is affected by a '504 timeout' it looks better and better.

It was especially good to finally meet Martin, and thank him for all his work on this Mayhem site.

Well we've just got home, feet are killing me so I'll start downloading the photos from mine and Richtea's cameras and go put my feet in the fridge!

Just home too.
Didn't take a model as I knew just there for a day I would (and did) spend most of it talking.
Making contact with old friends and hopefully making some more.

I would like to thank the Wicksteed Model Boat Club for all their hard work in maintaining the lake and helping to organise another superb weekend.
To all members I do sent a heartfelt THANK YOU, it was great to talk to some of you today.

just finally unloaded the car, of kids, shoes, batteries, boat and stuff !- another great day, - shame i am not camping with you lot this year...i could have done with a few beers too !

great to see old friends again, you know who you are- it was great to catch up and have a natter-

and as usual thank you to all who made the event happen,
for those who set up the steering course,
those who make teas and coffees,
and to wicksteed club for hosting the day

and for martin for keeping this event ( and this site) going !!!

knackered now.... time for a wee dram with my haggis and off to bed !!!!

A good day, an excellent day in fact!
Thanks for coming those that could.

The weather man got it wrong and it was a bit drizzly in the morning but it cleared up by 10am but the fun was already
underway by then anyway! Numbers were down on last year but there was a steady presents of boats on the water ALL
day long, in fact there wasn't a single moment of the day without art least 10 boats of one sort or another sailing the lake.

Good to catch up with old friends and Mayhemers old and new, thanks to all of you that came up and introduced yourselves,
very nice to put a face to the name. also good to chat to many model boaters and here such interesting views and observations,
many of which we can put to good use here on Mayhem.

Ian won the won a Mayhem Award with Vital Byte... which should renamed as Persistence!

NB. Ian also had the coolest trick a radio controlled boat can ever do!

We'll Guy the biggest laugh we have had is that Phil and I decided to get it running so Phil cobbled up a batt and I locked the rudder and we went straight running and it scored a perfect 10 and is a perfect straight runner according to Phil.

Well Tommy has not helped matters at all as he fell inthe lake on the way from the lake so he ended up having an impellers wash with the hosepipe !!!!

And yes I am still alive just about personally I think god help me when I get home and I will be blaming YOU for the divorce lol
