Hi, Ive just joined here, and I was wondering if there was any clubs north of newcastle, preferably near the Wansbeck area.

Ive done some searching on the web, but most seem to be north/south shields, or tyneside/gateshead.

There must be people north of newcastle, right?

Daemon I don't think there are any clubs in your part of the county - I'm a member at Tynemouth but the cost of
petrol these days  and a car that does not do many miles to the gallon does put me off.
What about the Riverside park at Ashington, is it suitable for model boats.
I believe your nearest club will be at Killingworth or Heaton ( the Boating lake opposite the Freeman Hospital)

The lake near the old colliery museum? Yeah, I was thinking of that one to sail on, I was just looking to see if there was anyone else nearby (10-15miles most) as I dont have a car at the minute, so long distance travel is courtesy of my father-in-law.
