Scorpion CT.12
« on: November 18, 2011, 12:57:13 pm »

i recently made a queenie trawl to go along with the queenie maching, and my grandad has taken off the hiab crane and replaced it with goalposts also he has motorised the net drum on the aft gantry, it also doubles up as a gilson winch for lifting the dredgers aboard. he has also put a new water pump on which is a bit more powerful (it is ued as a "s**t shoot" on the queenine machine, in real life it would be getting rid of small queenies and stuff like that) and if you want to know, the baskets are made from milk tubs that you get in hotels and cafes etc.

the orange chafers is just the orange twine that we used to stich the scallop bags with, think its called corleen twine. and the mats are leather, folds a bit better than rubber for hauling up on the net drum. also fray the ends of the twine

Thanks for that Cam
The one I've bought has not arrived yet.
Spoke to Deborah at Models by design and I can buy the plans.
Hope I can get mine to look the part like yours.
Start collecting the milk tubs tomorrow.
