Hullo from new member
« on: November 22, 2011, 09:38:05 pm »

Martin, Peter and members  thank you for the warm welcome.
I am new to forums and also new to computers, but I managed to look round the site and register as a new member in two evenings of model making time.   Been at model boats and painting for about five years since retiring, was at sea for thirty years and developed a passion for whaling history and the Arctic, along with general things maritime.
Nearly finished  “ CHARLES W MORGAN “  , an American kit, I found the single skin planking a bit of a challenge.  Now I need something for the pond so have ordered “ BEN AIN “ from Mountfleet. The electronics are a mistery to me and they don,t come with the kit so I may be calling for advice guys.
Thanks again,  see you on the Forum,      Donald.

Hi Arrow5,

Thanks for that, may be over your way next spring. Your lochs sound nice and quiet, the ones here are full of waves and dolphins ! and weed along the shore for props.

Will get some photos ( real and model ) as soon as I've sussed out how to do it. I could also put a wee pic on the left hand side like yours !

All the Best,

Donald. :-))
