Thanks guys, I am a long way away in Canada & things do happen to us as we get older. I knew he had been attacked by another member, in my view unfairly. After being on the forum for some months you learn whose advice to take notice of , both you Colin,Ned & Peter are on my short list, LOL. You too Martin, sorry about that ,last but not least. Neil has helped me several times already so that was why I had missed him. Mick B.

Its TOP notch Arty, There are some great guys on here & that includes you(I am not looking for favours LOL) too often the good guys don't get recognised for what they do. Sometimes it seems that the noisy ones get all the glory, but not in my book they don't. I still feel Neil did nothing wrong. Mick B.

I'm with you guys. I have always found Neil to be a really nice, helpful guy with plenty of good advice.

On this occasion all he did was offer a sensible opinion and advice and then got abuse for doing so.

After all how many boats has any one seen with the main motors up near the bow of the boat and such a long exposed prop shaft.

Lets hope Neil is soon back with more expert help and advice.

Agreed! Had the pleasure of dealing with him when he was selling some boats for a friend, he was very helpful and even sorted me out with a radio set (foc) to get it going!

I met Neil for the first time this year at Blackpool after corresponding with him over a few years. I have always found him to be friendly and helpful, and I for one would always be willing to have him offer me advice, which he gives freely, and in a well meaning and HELPFUL way.
He is fine,as I was in touch with him yesterday, and I am sure he will be back!

I know Neil is annoyed about offering some constructive criticism in a subject he's passionate and very knowledgeable about and then getting criticised himself for offering an opinion and advice. Neil may seem a bit 'blunt and to the point' at times, but he tells it like it is and that's just his way. I don't know if he'll be back or not, I hope he will be. I'm sure if anyone wants to ask his advice he'd be happy to give it. Dave.
