can anyone recommend any good connectors  rated for 20 - 30 amps

Dean's ultra connectors are widely accepted as excellent and can take at least 100amps so they state.

Ill second that, I have gone onto Deans, very good & so positive, A tip, keep them connected when soldering them. Nemesis

The insulation can melt if allowed to get too hot.
It is better to use a hot soldering iron quickly.

Google 'XT60' connectors! We have purchased them via e bay and they do NOT melt. Most excellent.

have to second the xt60 conectors just a not ive found that tou should always solder them with a heat shunt on the other side of the conectior stops them from sofening the nylon and the bullets moving out of alignment

Much safer to use a heat shunt on Deans too :-)) - they can ,and do, go out of alignment by using the other half of the connector ;D

Try the ones from Giant Cod - they dont melt AND they have ridges moulded in so they are easier to grip.
