Blue flashing light ?

Hi all,can anyone tell me of a decent supplier for a " 6v,blue flashing light" for a 1/20 scale lifeboat.i have tried maplins,city electrics,etc but to no avail.I have a blue flashing "dummy" light for a car alarm but it is to big (on the shaft)baloo.

Use Component Shop and support a UK supplier: http://www.component-shop.co.uk/html/flashing.html You will need a resistor to go with it.

Dave at Action does a flasher unit that can be used with a ED or a grain of wheat bulb

our local poundland has in stock flashlight / glow sticks , they consist of a pair of leds , one at each end of three button cell batteries , the white torch ,& a flashable blue led !

I have an Action flasher unit that works a treat (as always Dave! LOL) using it with a GOW bulb on my Alice Upjohn lifeboat, problem I've had - where to get a blue light that's TRUE blue not just a hint of blue, if you get my drift. Haven't managed to source a 360 degree blue lamp holder either as yet.

Free flasher time of the year again. Throw away dangly signs hanging from your local Supermarket ceilings festooned with twinkly LEDs. Each LED is soldered to a PCB containing a flasher chip powered by a CR2032 disc cell. The manufacturers of the units guarantee 6 months constant flashing from the battery although I timed one at 2 years.

  All it takes is "Can I have a scrap sign when you take them down" at the customer services desk. (Deadline as of today is about 20 days)

 Forgot to mention, some are blue, others are white but you can easily replace wrong colours.
