I am at the point that I need to start working on the 2 part mold.  First time I have made a 2 part mold.  Did a lot or research on the internet and U tube.  I think I have it all down.  Got my plug all primed and the keel installed.  All sanded smooth.  Have about 5 coats or orange paint on it now, and just have to do a bit of buffing to make it baby smooth now that it has sat for about a week.  Want to make sure the paint is hard.   Did a bit of work on my crewman.  If he falls overboard, his new life jacket will keep him aflote.   Steve

Update:  I have been talking with a guy in CA about making the mold for me.  Not enough time here to get it done.  Work for myself and now I have to take over a family business and get it running for my elderly Dad.  Just not enough hours to go around.  Will keep you all posted.

I have had a bit of time here and there and got some work done on the tug.  I have added about 6 inches to the length of the keel and I have started on the splitter for the 2 piece mold.

Up date on my build.
My father passed away in May and I have taken over his business for my Mom.  I still have my woodworking business and I am a dog agility instructor and teach a class on Tuesday nights.  I do not see any time in the near future where I might be able to get this plug into a mold and make a hull for myself.  So.... I am thinking that maybe I will sell it with the thought that someone would be interested in it and can make the mold, and a hull for themselves and one for me for sometime in the future, and     ?
All that is needed to finish the plug would be a wet sanding and polish.   If anyone is interested drop me a note.   Happy Modeling,   Steve

Training Tug BRAtt

Hi

I came across some photos of a Training Tug - BRAtt at
http://www.pbase.com/portwelland/bratt

I think this would make a nice largish scale build that
probably wouldn't fill a garage. What do you think?

I haven't looked any further than the above site.
