What a change from this time last year, then, I was snowed in, knee deep in snow, frozen pipes, central heating working around the clock,...Today its a balmy 10deg, and getting warmer,

Serious business - I have a shop full of sledges, snow scoops, and rock salt.

This time last year I had picked my elderley father in law up in Northumberland to drive back to the South West. a 5 hour normal journey including a stop at the services for a cuppa was over 10 hours.  Stationary at M5/M42 junction for 2 hours until a snow plough cleared the way later that night.  Didnt expect to make it home at all.  The motorway was carnage.

HI GUYS it is 85 above here in Maui right now.I got to the airport this morning only to be informed by Homeland Security USA that because I am only a British subject(I was born in Ireland) using my British passport that I required a Visa or I could not board the plane, ten minutes later & $585.00 dollars lighter they let me board, did I feel ripped off, you bet. I am trying to figure out how $585.00 made me O/K all of a sudden.Talk about being ripped off . Next year I will spend my money elsewhere, you can be assured of that. Mick B.

If you donate $585 to the US, you must, by definition, be a good guy.  By the definition of the US authorities, anyway.  Obviously undesirables would not have access to £585.

Heheh, thats odd, mate!

Yeah, its just windy and gloomy here in Ashington, I'm getting fed up of it, the guys on the tank forum are posting snow pics, and im getting very fed up, lol.

That being said, back in January in the blizzard I undertook a drive to Otterburn MTC in my Fiat Punto - was going great till I slid off the road into a safety barrier - for a snow plough to drive past five minutes later!!!!

No snow in Wollongong.....but I am in Adelaide this morming  %)....no snow here either.... @ 36 degrees C

New beer [for me] its called Coopers 62.....man is not a camel..so a few will be needed as we peel the prawns.....

Amazing price differential yesterday...Australian salt water [not farmed] king prawns ranged from $22/kg to $43/kg....... Australian salt water [not farmed] king tiger prawns $36/kg to $56/kg

That's not cheap food....$56/kg x 1000 kg  x 20 tons per catch = $1,120,000.00  O0

Merry Christmas....... :-)) ....Derek
