I've been in an inflatable canoe and a first world war german battleship, surely that counts for something?

TS Foudroyant leaving Pompey for Teeside no idea what the barge and the other load is, can see no reference to those. Pic taken from round tower though.

This home grown workhorse left her original job for sunnier climes.  Looking for her original name!

Megalohari VIII ?

Good try, very close but she didn't go into the water with that name.

(should have said that this was her name when the picture was taken but she wasn't built with that name)

Not the Megalohari X either though the 2 tugs were sister ships before they went to find the sun.

Hi Folks

I just thought I'd join you as I think the thread will be a good one -
I've nothing to add at the moment.

Do you think Oscar Wilde would be remembered if he had made that last comment? Nope
...... 'I have nothing to declare except my genius' ......  That's Mayhem material.

Random thought seepage - I need a mental Tena Lady. :embarrassed:

Well done, billyboy.  She did indeed start her life as the Manchester Ship Canal tug, "Ulex".  She moved on, via Malta, to Greece along with her sister ship "Undine" and was recent seen named the "Archangelos M" after spending time as the "Megalohari VII".
I chose this tug as my brother in law was Captain of the "Ulex" when she served with MSC Company and I was lucky enough to spend time aboard her.
