Yep Duncan !

I don't know how you talk about that in UK as the name Red Ensign is not proper to talk about the country ...  In French I have to say "portant le drapeau Britannique"  (flying the British flag) without merchand marine or other ensign distinction

May be I have to say : flying the British Red Ensign  (there is many other Red Ensign from Australia to Ghana ... )

Anyway, her registration port was London (in UK .. not in Ontario or in California  :} )

looks very much like the Ocean Countess to me.

We have three main ensigns viz: Red,White and Blue with many variants in the in the Rouge & Blu departments.

Flying the Union Flag on the mainmast would indicate a Court Martial in progress and most likely when moored. ( I think). Dont know the ship, ferry perhaps ?

You are right TailUK, she is Pacific Sky, I took this picture in the New Caledonia lagoon. At that time she was P&O based in Australia

she's now the Atlantic Star  http://www.shipparade.com/az/Atlantic_Star/Atlantic_Star_2.htm

Your turn TailUK
