When I've seen her the first time I was thinking navy tanker as black waterline but with only a small part of ship  {:-{

single skin though, but still in use, for a while at least.

I'm thinking now Orangeleaf ?

You can use "collided" with an "indeterminancy of participant"  so although Hawke  collided with the Olympic, you can also say Olympic and Hawke collided and still be correct.

The more i look at this the more I see a ferry!  The double Hawse-pipe is a little odd as they don't match.  I'm thinking something like the old Isle of Man ferries but I also don't think that's right.
The only one I know of in preservation is Manxman but it's not her.  I'm going to need another clue I'm afraid.

I can only see one hawse pipe ??, do you mean the two Panama leads near the top ?, there just two different leads, perhaps one was replaced at some point.
Think the preservation on the Manxman has been given up now and she's going to be scrapped.

Yet again  Xtain has it; it is indeed the RFA Orangeleaf undergoing her last major re-fit.

Humm I happy to win with a British RFA ship ... Versus all british people of this forum  :D

The next mystery ship is a "black cigar", I think not so hard but I hope not so easy

The Chilean Navy ordered two Scorpene S22 & S23 - O'Higgins and Carrera, they replaced two Oberon class submarines and are based at Talcahuano.
There was a big scandal in mid 2011 about six the Indian navy ordered. I thnk it is one of the Chilean ones .......... don't know how you could say which though {:-{

Yep Norseman you are right she is Chilian Scorpène (one of the two ...)

Strangely when you see on the link you gave, the images are not with Scorpène but Agosta  - easy difference with foreplanes on the sail for Scorpène and Rubis types but on the hull for Agosta type .

Your turn

Hi Xtain

That promotional video was posted in early 2006 and only the computer graphics are correct images - like at 3:10
I thought the good description might be enjoyed though - and the jpg I posted is correct for the class.
I remember a fuss about the indian ones last year but I can't remember any detail - do you know what it was?

Give me a few minutes and I'll post another up.

I wish them luck, I just hope they save HMS Caroline when her commission is over. {:-{
