Hi Guys, as previously mentioned modelling timbers is worth a look,  ladders made to scale and advised as such, Try http://www.modellingtimbers.co.uk/14.html Cheap as chips too!

There look the part, allways had good service from Modelling timbers, didn't realise they were doing so many fittings, I knew he had to stop sawing and planing wood for health reasons.

had all the wood for this project from them.

Thanks for all your replies, have contacted Tyne models and they have some Spindrift ones in stock, so have ordered those.
