Fast patrol boat Hellenic Navy
« on: January 28, 2012, 12:30:46 am »

This is a project that I've started some years ago and I haven't got around to finish it yet! {:-{ I work on it from time to time and I really hope to complete it sometime this year! It's made from scrutch producing my own moulds based on the plans of the original! All the electronics are allready installed and she has had a couple of succesfull sea trials and all it remains really is fitting her out with details and bits and pieces! Scale is 1/35, Length 1.6m. Here is some pictures that were taken from the begining of the building right thrugh to how she stands today

A bit of light relief from submarines Yannis -  Have you never fancied doing one of those Coast Guard jet drive boats like they have stationed  up at Gouvia

bassplayer1 ....are these the 76 mm OTO_Melara rapid fire guns?.........

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:RSS_Valour_76mm_OTO_Melara.JPEG

Many years ago I was involved in the supervision of maintenance of these weapons as installed in our HMA vessels.........

The thing I have difficulty in understanding is how they fitted the guns below deck machinery room & ammunition storage....into a hull that small ????

Hi Derek

Yes, that's the 76mm oto melara! Now, how they installed it in such a small hull, I have no idea!!!
