These aren't being controlled individually - they're autonomous robots and are talking to each other and sensing the environment to keep they're positions relative to each other and the outside world.

UAV technology has come a long way.

Yes maybe so but they are in the air ! they do stay there and they can land
but don't have to be put into a Tesco carrier to be taken home  <:(

Not sure how they achieve that, but it might be interesting to have a group of warships manoeuvre in line of battle formation

know how you feel matey......got one for christmas and the longest I've had it in the air is about 5 seconds...the guy demonstrating them made it look so simple...thought I was going to be doing medivacs from my lifeboats by boxing day...........no soddin chance, lol

Have a lama 5 which is a bi rotor 4 channel thing and yes I can fly that fine
(keep quiet Capt Jack)
I also have a normal (if you can say that) E-Flite blade which is a totally different ball game and I'm not sure if it's the added weight from epoxy and superglue which make it fly erratic or it could just be ME    :embarrassed:

Hi guys I got one too about one year ago, I soon found I could crash with the best. It cost me more in repairs the first few weeks than I paid for it in the first place, so guess what, now I am building model boats & hoping that I don't build the sinking variety. Mick B.
