Hi all, just been going through some photos on my computer came across these two fantastic models.

An interesting contrast. Despite what many people believe, the earlier Nelson class was in many respects superior to the superficially more modern Bismark which was based on the WW1 Baden design. HMS Rodney pretty much took Bismarck apart in 40 miniutes with minimal help from King Gerge V when it came to the crunch.

Yeah, that's obvious seeing the fact that Nelson has 3 triple 406mm guns, while Bismarck "only" has 4 double 380mm guns.
Bismarck was no match for Nelson's guns.

hi chipchase  thanks for posting pics of my award winning (AIRFIX KIT)  nelson  {-) {-)  Malcolm's bismark was sold last month for £5000.00  such a pity, they looked great on the water together,  I'm starting to put together my next AIRFIX KIT, its 9ft 6" long    RMS MAURETANIA  (got any spare tubes of glue john) {-)
