I forgot to add. The loop around the deck is servo controled to loop over or under a stricken boat and haul her in if the push wont do the job.

John

love your springer.. really nice job! :-))  it kind of looks back to front with the cabin aft?  though there are no rules for superstructure!

what does she weigh ready to sail?

could you please post some photos of your rescue hoop deployed?

mine ( the sherman) was built purely to rescue model boats and sea planes and i too intend putting a servo operated "crane" with a wire hoop on it to grab stricken models.

i need some tyres for mine too, where did you get yours from?

the laser cut lettering on mine was only £3.50 for the lot... great value!

when our lake eventually defrosts i might get to try mine...  though it has been in the bath of course :-)

Hi guys, the photo,s with the hoop deployed. Ready to come down on deck off stricken boat,
middle position to pull in boat, or setting to go under rudder when servo is moved.
low servo position to come up under rudder etc.
all these positions are adjustable by means of a rudder/servo arm.
Set the arm at the desired position for the type of rescue required.Under or over
Tighten the fixing screw and let the servo do the rest when you get the rescue boat
out in the lake to pull in the boat to be rescued.
I hope you can understan all that. {-)

P.S sorry about the poor quality I had to use flash.

Thank you martin :embarrassed:

David, the tyres I got from Modelzone No 09630 truck tyres,
When I bought mine they were £3.99 for a pack of 12. that was a while ago though.

She weighs in at  12lbs ready for the water.
I gave her a maiden voyage last week just to check her out.
I am running her on a 600 motor and a 40mm 3 blade brass prop.
She was actually breaking through and pushing the ice around the lake.
Great fun. One of the chaps took some photo,s of her I will ask if he can mail them to me
and I will put them on the forum.
