This one charges eight AA batteries at one time.

http://www.duracell.co.uk/en-GB/product/multi-charger.jspx

This one does four AA batteries in15 minutes.

7 day shop.com

do a battery charger which charges 8 at a time too, it'll work of a car ciggy lighter and mains  240 volt

there were on offer recently at only £ 9.99 covered in their branding....- dont know if they still have them or not ?- i know rc component store sells the same item too but with 'vapex' branding on it

Although its possible to fast charge this type of battery. I would like to know how much it shortens their life by? How hot is too hot? As batteries are cheap would it be better to have a spare set and rotate as required. John.

Any Ni-MH battery not specifically designed for high discharge/charge should not be fast charged if you want many cycles.

Basically any size other than Sub C batteries for buggies fall into this category.

The best charge for a high cap. Ni-mh is a 1/10 C for 12 -14 hours.

So john S's suggestion of a spare set makes sense.

A suggestion for a charger, get a 4 button smart charger, there are many brands but all of them can charge nearly any battery you can throw at it and with the correct type of charge for that battery.

If the charger is to charge your transmitter batteries, why do you need a fast charger?.

Modern Radios run for ever on one set of 2600 NiMH cells.
My T4U is good for a few visits to the pond (8 Cells) and my Spektrum
(4 Cells) is even better.
Get a 4 - 8 Cell Delta Peak charger and plug your TX in on return from the lake
and you will be ready for the next outing.
You will get tired before your batteries!
