Advice needed from the paint experts please
« on: February 21, 2012, 03:01:34 pm »

Having prepped, primed and applied a first top orange colour coat to a couple of panels, a number of blemishes and slight sags showed up which was formed from the white primer coats beneath.
Have rubbed down the affected areas and had to rub back to primer, have given a quick colour coat to the affected areas which now shows a very weak colour with little opacity, if that's the right term.

My concern is as I try to build up full colour depth, then obviously the unaffected areas will also receive subsequent coats so my questions are :- 1) Am I up the creek without a paddle or 2) do I keep applying subsequent coats hoping to achieve all over colour saturation?  Can anyone advise please?

                              Regards, Tony.

Keep on applying the colour coats trust me it wont be a problem.I get this all the time when applying colour coats to reapired panels on cars, just dont try to cover it on 1 coat it wont work ,as a doc would say keep taking the tabletts which in this case translates to keep applying the paint.
