Tribal class destroyers

The photos show Trumpeters HMS Zulu at 1/700 scale enhanced by White Ensign Models photo etched upgrade parts. The model is nearing completion, with guardrails, foremast, ships boats and other items still to be fitted. In the background is the hull to Trumpeters HMS Eskimo. Both ships will placed on a sea scape in company with each other and shown at speed.

For around £13 each these kits are superb in their detail. Some of the photo etched parts are so small that tweezers are essential and an illuminated magnifying glass extremely useful. The amount of work that goes into such small ships is quite considerable and develops new skills not required so much for larger scales. A steady hand is essential.

I'll post piccies of the completed diorama in due course.
