this year at midhurst there was a good turn out with most people who wernet displaying turning up in the afternoon as late as
3 ish the layout was as normal.....
The main hall is devoted to model railways, including numerous layouts, together with trade and society stands and demonstrations, featuring:
Julian Smith NGM Society: "Indian Hill Railway" 24'.5" x 13' This layout give a true flavour of India with jungle animals, indian music, incense and the aroma of curry
Paul Hopkins: "Redford Junction" 21'x3'x2' This layout depicts a local extrension planned in 1860 to the MIdhurst-Chichester line connecting to Haslemere
Andrew Walters: "Rouen St Catherine" 10'x8' This is an HO layout set in France during the 1960's-1980's
Christopher Cheney: “Dublo Diesel Delight” 9ft x 6ft Hornby 00
Roger Skinner: “Hornby Dublo” 3 Rail layouts circa 1959 with display of dinky vehicle and air fix models.
Frank Waters: 0 Gauge Hornby Layout 22ft x 8ft
Matt Wildsmith: “Ivor the Engine” this 10'x10' "T" shaped layout is based on the 1960's animation
Astolat M.R.C “Model Railway Layout” 23'x6' This layout is a Terminus to Fiddle Yard. Representing the end of a branch somewhere south of the Severn-Wash line
David Guscott: “Rheingauz” 8'x5' "Z" gauge this layout features a section of the River Rhein and is based on the vineyards around Rudesheim on East Bank and the town of Bingen
Andrew Waters “Rouen Ste Catherine” is a HO French layout set in France in the 1960’s-1980’s.
Liphook & District MRC: “Hawkshurst” 00 gauge layout
R.E.C “N” Gauge Group: “Umbridge” Fictitious 4 track mainline with branch line. 24ft x 8ft N Gauge
West Sussex N Gauge Society: Is a 16ft square consisting of various club members layouts.
REC "N" Gauge Grorup "The Glyn Valley Tramway 8'x2' 009mm gauge The layout is a model of Glynceiriog station, the passenger terminal and the quarry line between a wharf on the Shropshire and Avon canal
John Wakeman "Madeley Road" 9'x6' "N" gauge based on a location in Staffordshire on the West Coast mainline
More layouts from the OO9 Society and other clubs and individuals, totalling a number of 20 displays.
Other halls will house a wide variety of further exhibits including cars and other vehicles, dolls houses, engines, helicopters, planes, Meccano, military models and boats of all shapes and sizes
